Once a year an exclusive selection of historic and unique homes open their doors to the public in New Orleans' eclectic and historic, creole, Faubourg Marigny.
On May 19th, 2019 more than 250 curious participants will get an inside look at how real residents maintain and enjoy these unique and colorful homes. We'd love you to be one of those curious participants!
What Happens
Led by educated docents, the Tour will wander the Marigny Triangle revealing the inside rooms of historic creole cottages, turn of the century Victorian gems, and even a few modern additions that tie the new with rich architectural cues from the past. It will end at an invitation-only party, with special guests, food, and drinks.
When & Why
This walking tour is the 47th Annual Home and Garden Tour and will begin at Washington Square Park. It will take place between the hours of 12:00 noon and 4:00 p.m. Tickets are $25 each (children under 12 free), and will be available for purchase online (theFMIA.org) and on Facebook (@theFMIA) and on the day of (cash, check, or credit card) at Washington Square Park.
The FMIA Home & Garden Tour is extremely special because it offers access to homes that are not available to the public, including locals, any other time of year. The tour also rotates homes each year, so it's unlikely the chance to view each home will happen again.
